Taballera
(10th-17th
centuries).
Pre-roman origin.
Rebuilt. The existing walls date
from the year 1733.
Spiritual centre of a
number of ancient scattered farms (Mas),
up to the 19th century.
It was abandoned at the beginning of
the 20th century. It
suffered important destructions
during the civil war, in 1936.
Part of the church,
the rectory and the defensive tower
(16th century), are still
remaining. It has been defined as
national cultural property in 1985.
Work is in progress
for its preservation using European
Community funds (Interreg
programme).
